Vintage tone meets modern precision.
Experience the perfect fusion with the T-FET Series.
T-FETs came about after ADKs founder did a critical listening test of his live recordings from The Jazz Workshop tracked on mostly U-87* to analog tape in 1971. The strident and boxy nature of the tracks, compared to contemporary recordings on tube mics by Rudy Van Gelder and Tom Dowd made everyone wish for a do-over of the tracks with vintage microphones.
The T-FET series was a result of this new awareness. The design specs were to have specs within 1dB of a U-87*, but with tone profiles from the preceding era of German and Austrian tube mics. Add in a sweet sounding British OEP Transformer, plus a unique "slow-saturation" circuit to emulate one of the elements of valve designs, and you have a crayon box of colorful condensers to suit a wide range of applications. Throw in a two stage pad and two slope HPF and the result is six unique Swiss-Army Knife studio tools!
